These terms govern your use of MyPassportStory (the "app"). By using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
MyPassportStory lets you mark countries and cities you've visited, lived in, or passed through, record trips, view statistics about your travels, and generate images of that record to share with others. Signing in with Google is optional and adds personalisation and backup to your own Google Drive.
You can use the core features of the app without creating any account. Signing in with Google is only needed for personalised sharing and for backing up your data to your own Drive.
The app does not operate a server or database for user data — everything you enter is stored locally on your device, and, only if you choose to back up, in a private file inside your own Google Drive account.
Backups and data loss. You are responsible for backing up your own data using the app's "Back up now" feature. We do not keep any copy of your data ourselves. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of, damage to, or inability to restore your data — whether caused by device loss or damage, app or OS updates, uninstalling the app, Google account or Drive issues, network problems, or any other cause. Use the backup feature if your travel history matters to you.
Use the app for its intended purpose — tracking and sharing your own travel history. Don't use it to store or share unlawful content, attempt to disrupt the service, or misuse the Google sign-in integration.
Images and text you generate and choose to share (e.g. to social media or messaging apps) are yours. You're responsible for what you choose to share and with whom — sharing always happens through your device's own share options, not through us.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MyPassportStory and its developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app — consistent with the data-loss disclaimer in Section 3 above.
The app integrates with Google Sign-In and Google Drive. Your use of those services is also subject to Google's own terms and privacy policy.
We may update these terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent change. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, and the courts of Pune, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from them.
